GDE Assessment and Site Characterisation – Arrow Surat Basin Project

A GDE characterisation study including field investigation, isotopic sampling, and plant stress measurements to characterise the extent of GDEs in Arrow Energy’s Surat Basin tenements. The assessment utilised multiple lines of evidence including groundwater, soil and xylem isotope signatures, leaf and soil moisture potential to make a definitive statement on the groundwater dependence of vegetation at targeted assessment localities. The project outcomes were published in the Hydrogeology Journal in 2020 (see publications).
